More leaves but this time superimposed on a more ordered morphological background. I like to push my central images upon an independent background structure to challenge the mind to search and work for the rendering of the content. Using subtle cues to line up a dialog between the content and the morphology so there are some seamless integrations between the two separate things. Since I am actually painting and sculpting a virtual 3D surface simultaneously there is a lot of opportunities to combine the two worlds together upon the expanded surface area of the picture plane and the realism of the overlapping imagery. Original painting is 60″ x 36″. Latex on wood panel.
