My first piece ever painted plein air style out on my friend’s ranch in Meyer’s Creek, Montana.  That is the Absaroka range of the Rocky Mountains off in the distance. I love how the purple sun rays appear as traversing across the sky and onto the land.  I used an old scrap board I found in the barn and the paints were picked up at a local discount market on the way out to the ranch. Original painting 31″ x 24″. Acrylic on wood panel.
